VINTED PRO SELLERS’ STANDARD TERMS OF SALE
Vinted’s updated Pro Terms and Conditions will come into effect on 18 March 2024.
VINTED PRO SELLERS’ STANDARD TERMS OF SALE – version applicable from 15-03-2023
These Pro Sellers’ Standard Terms of Sale (the “Terms”) apply to the Sales made by Pro Sellers through the Site. The Site is managed by VINTED UAB ("VINTED"), a company located at Svitrigailos str. 13, Vilnius LT-03228, Lithuania, registered under number 302767152 with the Company Registry of the Republic of Lithuania.
Before purchasing an Item from a Pro Seller on the Site, you must read these Terms and the Pro Seller’s Additional Policies, accept them and undertake to comply with them.
They form a binding agreement primarily between you (hereinafter referred to as the “Buyer” and designated by the pronoun “you”, “your” or “yours”) and the Pro Seller, and, to the extent relevant, between you and VINTED.
1. DEFINITIONS
Unless otherwise specified in these Terms, capitalised terms have the same meaning as that assigned to them in VINTED’s Terms and Conditions;
Buyer – means you, the User who buys or wishes to buy on the Site one or more Item(s) from a Pro Seller. You are either a consumer or a trader within the meaning of EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights and the national consumer laws applicable to you. If you are a trader, you may not enjoy all of the rights described in these Terms;
Buyer Protection – means the Service defined in VINTED’s Terms and Conditions;
Buyer Protection Pro – means the Service defined in Section 4 below;
Buyer Protection Pro Validity Period – has the meaning assigned to it in Section 4.1 below;
Buyer Protection Services – means the Buyer Protection and Buyer Protection Pro Services offered by VINTED in order to facilitate and secure Sales made on the Site. Buyer Protection Services are not insurance services or legal protection guarantee services;
Directive – means Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights;
E-wallet Provider – means VINTED’s payment service provider MANGOPAY SA, a limited liability company registered in Luxembourg. MANGOPAY SA is a licensed electronic money institution regulated by Luxembourg's supervisor of financial sector ("Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier") which is providing payment services, including the e-wallet and escrow services on the Site;
Integrated Payment System – means the online payment system allowing Pro Users to pay for Items and Services on the Site, where the payment service is provided by the Integrated Payment System Provider Provider (as described below);
Integrated Payment System Provider - means any authorised payment service provider, including the E-wallet Provider, which has contracted with VINTED to provide payment services on the Site;
Item(s) – means the goods/items whose sale is not forbidden by national applicable law and/or VINTED’s Catalogue Rules and that are listed by the Pro Seller in the Site’s Catalogue, in order to sell them;
Pro User/Seller – means any user who lists one or more Item(s) in the relevant Catalogue of the Site as part of its professional activity. Pro Sellers are identified on the Site by a “Pro” tag.
Pro Seller’s Additional Policies – means the Pro Seller’s additional terms of sale, which apply in addition to these Terms. Please read them by clicking on the hyperlink displayed on the Item’s page and in the Pro Seller’s VINTED profile (more detailed explanations are available here). If the Pro Seller’s Additional Policies contradict any of these Terms, the latter shall prevail;
Sale – means the sale transaction and agreement entered into directly between a Buyer and a Pro Seller;
Shipping Tracking System – means the online tracking system provided by VINTED, based on the information provided by the shipping provider and enabling Buyers to track their Item once it has been shipped by the Pro Seller;
Terms – means these Pro Sellers’ Standard Terms of Sale which form a binding agreement (i) primarily between you, the Buyer, and the Pro Seller, and, (ii) to the extent relevant, between you and VINTED;
VINTED’s Terms and Conditions – means the binding agreement between VINTED and Users, Pro Users and Buyers, accessible here.
2. PURPOSE
These Terms define:
- The general terms and conditions applicable to Sales made by Pro Sellers through the Site, which are effective directly between you and the Pro Seller;
- The Buyer Protection Services offered to you by VINTED.
3. TERMS OF SALE WITH THE PRO SELLER
3.1 Steps to follow to complete your order
3.1.1 The Site and Services are not intended for minors.
3.1.2 A Pro User who has listed an Item may withdraw it or amend its price at any time, before entering into contact with a Buyer for the sale of the Item in question. When an Item from the Catalogue is put up for sale, this constitutes an offer for sale of the relevant Item by the Pro User, which may be accepted by a Buyer.
3.1.3 In order to purchase an Item, you must:
- Access the Site and create a VINTED account, as described in VINTED’s Terms and Conditions and, if you are a Pro User, as described in the Pro Sellers’ Terms of Use;
- Browse the Catalogue and click on the Item’s page to view its description and photos, as provided by the Pro Seller;
- Select the Item that you wish to purchase;
- Follow the instructions of the Site, in particular by filling in the order form and choosing your preferred shipment method. The list of integrated shipping providers, as well as the terms and conditions of each of these providers (including possible limits of carrier compensation), are accessible here for buyers and here for sellers at any time;
- Check the content of your order and, if necessary, correct any errors;
- Validate the order and the price to be paid (which includes the price of the Item, the Buyer Protection Services fee, the shipping fees and any applicable taxes) (the “Total Price”);
- Read these Terms and the Pro Seller’s Additional Policies, and accept them (by pressing “Pay now” button and confirming the order);
- Choose your preferred payment method and follow the instructions of the online payment module to pay the Price.
3.1.4 You understand and accept that by clicking the “Pay now” button:
- you are entering into (i) a sales contract with a Pro Seller and (ii) a separate contract with VINTED for the provision of the Buyer Protection Services;
- you undertake to fulfil the payment obligation and that failure to do so may oblige you to reimburse the losses suffered by the Pro Seller and/or VINTED;
- you represent that you have provided correct and up-to-date information and that you understand that you are fully responsible for the Sale carried out;
- you confirm that you have read and that you accept these Terms, the Pro Seller’s Additional Policies and any other terms mentioned herein.
3.1.5 Once these steps have been completed, you will receive, by email, a confirmation of acceptance of the payment of your order as well as an acknowledgement of receipt confirming your order.
3.2 Payment of the Total Price of your order
3.2.1 The Total Price is displayed at the time of validation of your order. It is expressed in euros and includes the price of the Item as well as all applicable fees, namely the Buyer Protection Service fees, shipping costs and any applicable taxes or fees.
3.2.2 Payment. You must use VINTED’s secure Integrated Payment System, which is provided by Integrated Payment System Provider, as part of the Buyer Protection Services. For the avoidance of doubt, VINTED does not provide any payment processing services. You can pay the Total Price with a credit or debit card, or any other payment method that may be introduced from time to time by VINTED on the Site’s integrated payment interface. If a credit or debit card, or other payment method that is suspected to belong to a third person is provided by a User on the Site, the User may be required to provide additional proof that a credit or debit card or other payment method does belong to a User. You can also use the funds available on your VINTED Balance (i.e. your e-wallet available through VINTED), if any. If you do not have enough funds in your VINTED Balance to cover the Item(s) price, you can cover the missing part by paying through other available payment methods.
The Total Price will be debited from your card, bank account and/or VINTED Balance once you have clicked on the “Pay now” button. The payment is processed by the Integrated Payment System Provider, which also stores the information regarding your credit or debit card or any other payment method. You are solely responsible for the transmission of information associated with the credit or debit card. The Pro Seller and VINTED hereby decline any liability in this respect, to the fullest extent permitted by the applicable legislation.
3.2.3 Escrow. The Price of your order will be held in Escrow until the completion of the Sale. Once the Sale is deemed to be completed, VINTED will instruct the E-wallet Provider to release the price of the Item to the Pro Seller, after deduction of the Buyer Protection Services fee and the shipping fees which are retained by VINTED.
Only the Pro Seller is liable to issue invoices to the Buyer for the Items it sells on the Site as well as for the use of the Integrated Shipping System. VINTED cannot, under any circumstances, be responsible for issuing an invoice on behalf of the Pro Seller.
3.3 Delivery of your order
3.3.1 Integrated Shipping System. You must use VINTED’s Integrated Shipping System(shipping pre-paid labels) for Sales with a Pro Seller. These shipping, transport and delivery services are provided by third party service providers. VINTED does not provide any such services. The list of integrated shipping providers, as well as the terms and conditions of each of these providers are accessible at any time here for buyers and here for sellers. Users are responsible for reviewing and agreeing with the terms and conditions of the shipping provider that they select as specified below, whether they are acting as Sellers or as Buyers. During Checkout, you will be able to choose from the shipping providers that have been selected by the Pro Seller. Shipping fees are shown during Checkout and are paid by the Buyer in addition to the price of the Item, applicable fees (in particular the Buyer Protection Services fee) and taxes.
3.3.2 Delivery time. The Pro Seller must deliver the Item to you on the date, or within the time period, specified in the Private Message and within 30 days at the latest.
If you are a consumer and the Pro Seller does not deliver the Item to you on time, the Sale will not be automatically cancelled. You can benefit from VINTED’s assistance by activating the Buyer Protection Pro as described in Section 4 below. You can also cancel the Sale in accordance with the provisions of the Law, after having formally asked the Pro Seller to deliver the Item within a reasonable additional period of time, and if the Pro Seller has still not complied within this period of time, after having formally informed the Pro Seller that you wish to cancel `the Sale. The foregoing is without prejudice to any claim that the Buyer may have against the Pro Seller, under applicable laws, for having failed to deliver the Item or late delivery.
3.3.3 Shipping Tracking System. VINTED provides the online tracking system only reflects the tracking information provided by the shipping providers of the parcel. Consequently, to the extent permissible by applicable laws, VINTED disclaims any liability if the integrated shipping provider provides inaccurate, incomplete or outdated tracking information.
3.4 Right of withdrawal
3.4.1 Scope. This provision is only applicable if you are a consumer within the meaning of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights (the “Directive”) and the national consumer laws applicable to you, buying from a Pro Seller and you have a right of withdrawal under the Directive and said national legislation.
Please note that you do not have a right of withdrawal if the Item you purchased falls within any of the legal exceptions (for more information please read this).
The Pro Seller is solely liable under the provisions of this section. VINTED declines all liability in this respect.
3.4.2 Conditions for exercising your right of withdrawal. You may exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days starting from the day following the delivery date of the Item. If this period expires on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, it is extended to the first working day thereafter.
You accept that VINTED will compute this period on the basis of the information provided by the shipping service provider chosen by you and is not liable if incorrect information is provided by said service provider.
In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you can, amongst others, press the “I have an issue” button in your chat with the Pro Seller (as well as choosing a reason and in some cases providing proof, e.g. in case the reason is counterfeit item), send the withdrawal form attached as Annex 1 to these Terms and that will also be provided to you by the Pro Seller in the parcel together with the Item(s), or make any other unambiguous statement expressing your wish to exercise a right of withdrawal.
Note that if you exercise the right of withdrawal without using the communication tools provided for this purpose by our platform, VINTED may not be aware of this. In this case, the sums you have paid may be transferred to the seller despite the exercise of your right of withdrawal.
If you do not want to initiate your right of withdrawal through VINTED, then you can do so by providing the Pro Seller with the following information:

You can also fill in and return to the Pro Seller the template withdrawal form appended as Annex 1 to these Terms.
You must then return the Item(s) to the Pro Seller or a person designated by it without undue delay and, at the latest, within 14 days from the day on which you’ve communicated your decision to withdraw in accordance with the paragraph above. You will bear the return costs of the Item(s), unless otherwise specified in the Pro Seller’s Additional Policies. Returned Item(s) should be sent using tracked delivery and a tracking number.
3.4.3 Reimbursement of the Total Price. You will be reimbursed for the Total Price of your order, including the initial shipping costs and Buyer Protection Pro fee without undue delay once you have provided proof of dispatch of the Item(s) to the Pro Seller or once the Pro Seller has received the Item, whichever is the earliest.
You will be reimbursed using the same means of payment as the one you used for the Sale.
3.5 Legal warranties
3.5.1 The Pro Seller is exclusively liable under the provisions of this section. As a mere intermediary, VINTED declines all liability in this respect. Therefore, where applicable, you must exercise these warranties directly with the Pro Seller.
3.5.2 In accordance with the national laws applicable to you, the Pro Seller is liable to you for any defects in conformity of the goods to the contract (if you are a consumer) and for hidden defects of the Item sold (whether or not you are a consumer).
You can find more information on your rights as a Buyer, including on the legal warranties, in the “Our Platform” section of the Site.
3.5.3 If you make a purchase from France, the Pro Seller is liable to you pursuant to French Law for any defects in conformity of the goods to the contract under the conditions provided for in Articles L. 217-4 et seq. of the French Consumer Code (if you are a consumer) and for hidden defects of the Item sold under the conditions provided for in Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code (whether or not you are a consumer).
If you are a consumer acting on the basis of a legal warranty of conformity, you:
- will benefit from a period of two years from the delivery of the good to act ;
- may choose between repair or replacement of the goods subject to the cost conditions set out in Article L. 217-9 of the French Consumer Code;
- will not be required to provide proof of the existence of the lack of conformity of the goods during the 24 months following delivery of the goods, except for second-hand goods for which this period is six months.
The warranty of conformity will apply independently of any commercial guarantee granted by the Pro Seller.
You may also decide to implement the guarantee against hidden defects of the Item sold within the meaning of Article 1641 of the French Civil Code and, in this case, may choose between cancellation of the sale or a reduction in the sale price in accordance with Article 1644 of the French Civil Code.
3.5.4 If you make a purchase from Italy, the Pro Seller is liable to you pursuant to Italian Law for any defects in conformity of the goods to the contract under the conditions provided for in Articles 128 and following of the Italian Consumer Code (if you are a consumer) and for hidden defects of the Item sold under the conditions provided for in Article 1490 of the Italian Civil Code (whether or not you are a consumer).
3.5.5 If you make a purchase from Belgium, the Pro Seller is liable to you pursuant to Belgian Law if you are a consumer for any defects in conformity of the goods to the contract under the conditions provided for in Articles 1604 and 1649 of the Belgian Civil Code and for hidden defects of the Item sold under the conditions provided for in 1641 of the Belgian Civil Code.
3.5.6 If you make a purchase from Spain, the Pro Seller is liable to you pursuant to Spanish Law if you are a consumer for any defects in conformity of the goods to the contract under the conditions provided for in Articles 114 and following of the Spanish Consumer Protection Act and for hidden defects of the Item sold under the conditions provided for in Articles 1484 and following of the Spanish Civil Code.
3.5.7 If you make a purchase from the Netherlands, the Pro Seller is liable to you pursuant to Dutch Law if you are a consumer for any defects in conformity of the goods to the contract under the conditions provided for in Article 7:17 of the Dutch Civil Code.
3.5.8 If you make a purchase from Luxembourg, the Pro Seller is liable to you pursuant to Luxembourg Law if you are a consumer for any defects in conformity of the goods to the contract under the conditions provided for in L. 212-3 of the Luxembourg consumer Code and for hidden defects of the Item sold under the conditions provided for in Article 1641 of the Luxembourg Civil Code.
3.5.9 If you make a purchase from Portugal, the Pro Seller is liable to you pursuant to Portuguese Law for any defects in conformity of the goods to the contract under the conditions provided for in Articles 2 et seq. of Decree-Law no. 67/2003, of 8 of April, (if you are a consumer) and for hidden defects of the Item sold under the conditions provided for in Articles 911 et seq. of the Portuguese Civil Code (whether or not you are a consumer).
3.6 Completion of a Transaction. The Total Price of your order will be retained by the E-wallet Provider in Escrow until the Transaction is completed. Once the Transaction is completed, the Total Price of your order will be released from Escrow.
4. BUYER PROTECTION SERVICES
As a mere intermediary, VINTED is not a party to the Sale agreement between you and the Pro Seller. Under no circumstances will VINTED buy or sell Items shown on the Site nor claim to do so.
However, VINTED offers Buyer Protection Services which secure and facilitate the Sale. These Buyer Protection Services are mandatory and automatically apply when the Buyer purchases the Item by clicking on the “Buy Now” button.
If you make a purchase as part of your professional activity, you cannot benefit from the Buyer Protection Pro, but you will still benefit from the Buyer Protection described in VINTED’s Terms and Conditions. You may then be entitled to a refund of the Total Price of your order if you activate the Buyer Protection within the Dispute Filing Period, if: (i) the Item that you have received is damaged or Significantly Not As Described (as defined in VINTED’s Terms and Conditions), (ii) or if you have not received the Item within the expected delivery date.
If you are a consumer within the meaning of the Directive and applicable national laws, you automatically benefit from the Buyer Protection Pro, described in Sections 4.1 to 4.3 below. VINTED will help you if you do not receive the Item or it is delivered late, or if you wish to exercise your legal right of withdrawal.
The Buyer Protection Services are provided by VINTED and do not replace the Buyer’s legal rights (e.g. legal right of withdrawal) or any of the legal guarantees benefitting the Buyer under applicable laws, which can be exercised in addition to, and independently from the Buyer Protection Services.
4.1 Validity Period of the Buyer Protection Pro
4.1.1 You can activate the Buyer Protection Pro by pressing the “I have an issue” button available in the Private Message with the Pro Seller, selecting the type of issue and, in some cases, providing supporting evidence:
- within a 14 calendar-day period starting from the day the ordered Item is delivered;
- if the Item is lost, within a 14 calendar-day period starting from the receipt of a notice which will be sent to you by VINTED.
This is the “Validity Period” of the Buyer Protection Pro.
4.1.2 You will not be eligible to activate the Buyer Protection Pro and VINTED will not take your claim into account:
- If you are a trader within the meaning of the Directive;
- If the Validity Period described in Section 4.1.1 above has expired at the date of your claim, even if the Pro Seller’s Additional Policies allow for returns or refunds beyond this period;
- If you exercise your right of withdrawal or notify your claim without using the “I have an issue” button available in your chat with the Pro Seller; or
- If your claim fails to comply with the procedure described in these Terms.
If you are a consumer and are not eligible to activate the Buyer Protection Pro for one of the reasons listed above, then you must contact the Pro Seller directly for any issues with your order.
4.2 Scope of the Buyer Protection Pro
The Buyer Protection Pro includes the services listed below. These services are provided only as a combination and are not provided as separate services. For any issues that are not covered by the Buyer Protection Pro, you should contact the Pro Seller.
4.2.1 Safe payments and facilitation of the right of withdrawal process: VINTED will help you exercise your legal right of withdrawal and obtain a refund of the Total Price of your order if you meet the applicable legal requirements.
The Total Price of your order is held in Escrow until the completion of the Sale. VINTED is the only party that can instruct the E-wallet Provider to release the price of the Item to the Pro Seller, and will not do so: (i) until the Validity Period of the Buyer Protection Pro has expired; or (ii) if you have escalated an issue to VINTED within the Validity Period, until VINTED has determined whether you should be reimbursed:
- If you have duly exercised your right of withdrawal as described in Section 4.1.1 above and meet the applicable legal requirements, VINTED will inform the Pro Seller that it is under a legal duty to refund you once the Pro Seller has received the returned Item or you have provided proof of its return to the Pro Seller.
- If the Pro Seller agrees or confirms the return, it will inform VINTED and VINTED will instruct the E-wallet Provider to release the Total Price held in Escrow to the Buyer.
- If the Pro Seller does not confirm that he has received the returned Item within 14 calendar days after you exercised your right of withdrawal and if you provided proof of dispatch of the Item or proof that the Pro Seller has received the returned Item, VINTED will investigate the issue. You can also contact VINTED within this 14 day-period if you cannot find an agreement with the Pro Seller. The Sale will be suspended and the Total Price of your order will remain in Escrow until VINTED has determined whether you should be reimbursed.
If you have exercised your right of withdrawal but the Sale is not finalised and neither you nor the Pro Seller contacts VINTED within 14 calendar days after you have exercised such right of withdrawal, either to inform us that an agreement has been reached or to confirm receipt of the returned Item by the Pro Seller or to provide us with proof of dispatch or effective reception or the returned Item by the Pro Seller, VINTED will contact you again to determine whether you still wish to withdraw from the Sale. You will be given two days to respond. If you still wish to withdraw from the Sale, VINTED will check if the legal requirements for you to exercise your right of withdrawal are met and if you have provided a shipping proof, VINTED will reimburse you. Otherwise, the Total Price will be released from Escrow.
Notwithstanding the above, VINTED may exempt you from returning the Item to the Pro Seller, for example where, after having investigated the matter with both you and the Pro Seller, there are strong indications that the Item may be a counterfeit. More information is available here.
If VINTED considers that you have exercised your right of withdrawal in accordance with the applicable legal requirements, VINTED will ensure that you are reimbursed for the Total Price of your order - Item price, shipping fees and Buyer Protection Pro fee.
4.2.2 Loss of Items during shipping or late delivery: if your Item is lost, you must report the issue to VINTED by clicking on the “I have an issue” button in the Private Message with the Pro Seller and complete the issue submission flow as soon as possible, but no later than 14 calendar days from the receipt of a notice which will be sent to you by VINTED.
You can cancel your order and be refunded automatically if you click on the “Cancel this order” button within 2 days of VINTED’s above-mentioned notification. If you do not do so, you will still benefit from the Buyer Protection Pro for the next 14 calendar days (if this period expires on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, it is extended to the first working day thereafter).
In any case, if you receive a notification from VINTED that the Item should have been delivered but you have not received it, you can contact VINTED to activate the Buyer Protection Pro within the Validity Period by pressing the “I have an issue” button in the Private Message with the Pro Seller and complete the issue submission flow. Otherwise, you can contact the Pro Seller.
If you do not report the issue within 14 calendar days from the receipt of a notice that will be sent by VINTED, the Transaction will be completed and the purchase price of the Item held in Escrow will be released to the Pro Seller.
4.2.3 Customer service: you can contact VINTED’s customer support if you need assistance. For instance, VINTED may intervene if you or the Pro Seller breaches any of these Terms.
4.2.4 Business identity checks on Pro Sellers. VINTED checks that when they create their VINTED account, Pro Sellers are existing traders or associations duly registered in France.
4.2.5 Standards applicable to Pro Sellers. VINTED requires Pro Sellers to undertake to comply with applicable laws and your rights, including where applicable your rights as a consumer, and to process orders with due care and diligence. Please find more information in the Pro Sellers’ Guide. Pro Sellers that do not comply with the obligations set out in their terms with VINTED can be prevented from offering Items for sale.
4.3 Buyer Protection Pro fee. For each Sale, you will be charged a mandatory Buyer Protection Pro fee on top of the price of the Item, the shipping fees and any applicable taxes, in consideration for the services provided to you by VINTED under Section 4.2 above. The total amount of this fee is shown to you on the Site before completion of your order, during Checkout.
4.4 Not insurance. The Buyer Protection Pro is not an insurance or a legal protection service. The Buyer Protection Pro is a service offered by VINTED. It does not replace the Buyer’s legal rights or legal guarantees, which can be exercised in addition to, and independently from, the Buyer Protection Pro.
4.5 Acknowledgment of VINTED’s role in issuing refunds under the Buyer Protection Pro. You agree to comply with the process for receiving a refund under the Buyer Protection Pro and to cooperate with VINTED to enable VINTED to make decisions on any Buyer Protection Pro related issue, based on the objective criteria set forth in these Terms. If you directly resolve the issue with the Pro Seller after having activated the Buyer Protection Pro, you undertake to inform VINTED.
4.6 Complaint mechanism. You can use the complaint procedure regarding VINTED’s decision, as described in VINTED’s Terms and Conditions.
5. FORCE MAJEURE
The performance by the Pro Seller and VINTED of their obligations under these Terms can be suspended in a case of force majeure affecting performance.
Force majeure occurs when an event beyond the control of VINTED and/or Pro Seller, which could not reasonably be foreseen at the time of the conclusion of the contract and the effects of which cannot be avoided by appropriate measures, prevents VINTED and/or Pro Seller from performing its obligations.
6. MODIFYING THESE TERMS
6.1 VINTED may unilaterally amend these Terms in accordance with VINTED’s Terms and Conditions (see section related to Unilateral Changes to these Terms in VINTED’s Terms and Conditions).
Amended terms will only apply to Items purchased after the entry into force of these amendments, except when they relate to the Buyer Protection Pro. In such case, amended terms may apply immediately if: (i) immediate application is necessary to comply with the law or a court order; or (ii) the changes relate to additional commitments by VINTED or the Pro Seller to you or new features that do not result in any diminution of your rights.
You will be informed by an email and/or a notification on the Site of any such changes related to the Buyer Protection Pro.
6.2 Pro Sellers may amend their Additional Policies, if any, in accordance with their own policies.
7. LIABILITY
7.1 VINTED is a platform service that connects Buyers and Pro Sellers and acts as a hosting service provider. All Sales made through VINTED are between Buyers and Pro Sellers. VINTED is not a party to any Sales agreements, and only offers Buyer Protection Services to eligible Buyers.
VINTED DOES NOT REPRESENT OR ENDORSE AND WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- THE ACTIONS, ERRORS OR OMISSIONS OF ANY PRO SELLER;
- THE TRUTH, EXHAUSTIVENESS OR ACCURACY OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY A PRO SELLER;
- A PRO SELLER’S COMPLIANCE WITH THESE TERMS OR ANY APPLICABLE LAW;
- THE QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF THE ITEMS OR THEIR COMPLIANCE WITH THE DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOGRAPHS GIVEN ON THE ITEM PAGE; OR
- THE BUYER’S OR PRO SELLER’S FAILURE TO PERFORM THE SALE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE TERMS OR THE PRO SELLER’S ADDITIONAL POLICIES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VINTED DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR THE ACTIONS, ERRORS OR OMISSIONS OF PRO SELLERS AND BUYERS, ESPECIALLY IN CONNECTION WITH THE ABOVE-LISTED EVENTS.
7.2 Unless otherwise provided by law, VINTED is not responsible for any tax and social liabilities or reporting obligations that might arise to Users from their activities within the Site. For the purpose of the Transactions undertaken on the Site, the Users themselves are solely responsible for their own taxation and social reporting duties, if any would arise under applicable legislation. 8. PERSONAL DATA
8.1 When you purchase an Item from a Pro Seller on the Site:
- Some data processing activities are carried out by the Pro Seller and VINTED as joint controllers within the meaning of Art. 26 (1) sentence 1 of the General Data Protection Regulation. VINTED informs you about the responsibilities of VINTED and Pro Sellers and about the designated contact point in section “4. What should you know when you interact with a Pro Seller?” of the Privacy Policy.
- Data processing activities that are not listed in the section “4. What should you know when you interact with a Pro Seller?” of the Privacy Policy are carried out separately and independently by VINTED and the Pro Seller. Please also refer to the Pro Seller’s own privacy policy, which is available in their profile. Pro Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws when they process data separately and independently.
8.2 For data processing carried out solely by VINTED, more information is provided in the Privacy Policy.
9. NOTIFICATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS
All the notifications, requests and other information shall be sent as stated in these Terms:
- by the Buyer to the Pro Seller: via the Buyer’s Private Messages with the Pro Seller on the Site, by email or by using the contact information mentioned in the Pro Seller’s Additional Policies;
- by the Buyer to VINTED: (i) via the contact form or (ii) in case of disputes between the Buyer and the Pro Seller, via the Buyer’s Private Messages window with the Pro Seller;
- by the Pro Seller or VINTED to the Buyer: via email, to the email address provided when registering on the Site. The Pro Seller and VINTED can also communicate with the Buyer via the Buyer’s Private Messages window with the Pro Seller and/or email.
10. ASSIGNMENT
10.1 VINTED may, subject to applicable data protection laws, transfer and/or assign all rights and obligations under these Terms to any third party, in particular in the case of the transfer of a sector of activity, a merger through the foundation of a new company, a merger through absorption, de-merger or any change in control affecting VINTED, provided that this does not reduce protection of the consumer’s rights. Such a transfer releases VINTED from all obligations as operator of the Site, in particular towards Pro Sellers, for the future. In case VINTED transfers and/or assigns these rights and obligations under these Terms to any third party, the Pro Seller has the right to immediately terminate his/her relationship with VINTED and close his/her account with VINTED.
10.2 If the Pro Seller or VINTED intend to assign their rights under these Terms to a third party and that this assignment is likely to result in a reduction of your rights, VINTED or the Pro Seller will inform you and observe a reasonable period of notice.
10.3 You may not transfer or assign any or all of your rights or obligations arising from these Terms.
11. APPLICABLE LAW; DISPUTE RESOLUTION
11.1 These Terms are governed by the national law of the Buyer.
11.2 In the event of a disagreement between you and VINTED, you may use the dispute resolution options described in VINTED’s Terms and Conditions.
11.3 In the event of a disagreement between you and the Pro Seller, please refer to the Pro Seller’s Additional Policies.
12. NO PARTNERSHIP
These Terms do not have the effect of creating a partnership between the Pro Seller and/or VINTED and you, labour law relationships, relationships between a commercial agent and the latter’s customer, nor a franchise relationship.

Returns information
To return your order, just fill in this form and send back it to the Pro Seller along with the item/s (in their original condition).
If you want VINTED to support your item return, please make sure you complete the following steps within 14 days of receiving your order:
- Go to the conversation with the Pro Seller, click or tap on the “I have an issue" button and tell us why you're returning the item. Follow the instructions to reach an agreement with the Pro Seller. Do not send the item back before you’ve completed this step, otherwise our support team is not included in the return process and will not be able to help you.
- Complete this order return form, making sure to select the appropriate return code.
- Pack the item, add this form, and send the item back to the Pro Seller. You will need to cover the cost of shipping, unless the Pro Seller offers free returns.
- Please hold onto your proof of postage until we confirm that your refund has been processed.
